Installation Steps

1Turn off water supply

Locate the cold water shutoff valve under the sink. Turn clockwise to close. Open the faucet to release pressure.

2Install the faucet (if included)

If your system includes a dedicated faucet: use the existing sprayer hole or drill a new hole. Insert faucet from above, secure from below with included hardware.

3Mount the filter

Most filters mount to the cabinet wall. Position where you can easily change filters. Use included screws or brackets.

4Connect to cold water

Disconnect the cold water supply line from the faucet. Install the T-adapter or saddle valve (included with system). Connect supply line to filter inlet.

5Connect to faucet

Run tubing from filter outlet to dedicated faucet (or back to main faucet if inline system).

6Flush the system

Turn water back on. Run water through the new filter for 5-10 minutes (or per manufacturer instructions) to flush carbon fines and manufacturing residue.

7Check for leaks

Place paper towels under all connections. Run water for a few minutes. Check for any drips. Tighten connections if needed.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

When to hire a plumber: If you're not comfortable, if you have old/corroded pipes, or if you need to modify plumbing. Budget $100-200 for professional installation.
